In 2022, the aso (dog) shop logo was revamped into this alon (wave) design inspired by Okkir/Okkil-Maranao/Magindanao art from research expeditions in the southern part of the Philippines for inspiration.
The original design was suspended on the Long Beach window storefront in gold, silver and bronze leafing with burgundy paint trim on acrylic. The 2008 tribute is for a beloved brindle American Pit Bull Terrier, Oakland, and their love of the Pacific Ocean.
