Surrounded by the chaos of the world, engaging on social media from scrolling to posting my art I am forced to pause, not out of silence but in reflection and for my mental health. It's a way for me to gather the strength to create from the heart.

Creating art is my way of processing the world around me, but there are times when the weight of the world's troubles makes it difficult for me to create, share my work or even myself as I am a private person. Art is an extension of my emotions, and when we I'm deeply affected by the pain and suffering in the world, sometimes I stop creating, but I’ve realized that I'm taking the time to let those emotions settle, so I can channel them into something meaningful. It's not a silence, but a pause for introspection, a space to gather the strength to create and to create from the heart.

‘From the River to the Sea’ (From Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea) is a powerful call for peace. Anything from Hamas or Pro-Israel is an appropriation and a misrepresentation of the original intent. The majority of people using the phrase see it as a principled vision of freedom and coexistence.

We are either all in for Peace or Not. This 18” x 24” poster design is my wish for unity and good will for all.

If Bob Marley were here, maybe he would raise the hands of two political parties and make them join hands like in 1977. As he said (with a Filipino twist) One Love, One Heart, Isang Bagsak.

ISANG BAGSAK, a Tagalog phrase which literally translates to ONE DOWN, is a ritual that people engage in the democracy and national liberation movement in the Philippines developed as a way to represent unity through struggle. Symbolically, it represents many becoming one; movement from the individual to the many.
